Raindrops falling down, down, down

Streams flowing evermore to my heart
My countenance reads a frown
The longer we're apart

Too deep I had fallen for you
You said you'd never hurt me
Our love was steady and true
But I had to leave you to be free

You're on my mind
The days seem to fly by
Nights so long
No matter how hard I try

My new life has started
There is so much promise
Ever since we parted
I had to reach in and be honest

The thoughts I have for you on my mind
The feelings bottled up inside my heart
The words of expression so hard to find
The destiny was for us to be apart
